Work deserves fair recognition. Today we explore what equal pay means.
18 September is dedicated to equal pay for work of equal value. The observance highlights the United Nations’ commitment to tackling discrimination and promoting gender equality at work.
The expression ‘work of equal value’ can include different jobs when their value is considered equivalent: it is not limited to identical duties.
